My Completed Disappearing Nine Patch Quilt
I have finally finished the Disappearing Nine Patch Quilt for my 4 years old daughter. This is my second completed quilt. My daughter loves it and started using as soon as it was washed.
More info and photos of this quilt can be found at here:
Quilt Details:
- Finished size is 48″ x 66″
- Pieced and quilted by me
- Binding was done by sewing machine (binding sewn to back first then front of quilt)
- Two of the chosen fabric used in the dolly quilt is from the fabric range Veranda Screen Print by Amanda Murphy for Robert Kaufman. The purple print is D#11500 and the yellow print is D# 11485.
I’ve decided to link up with Anything Goes Mondays at Stitch by Stitch, Sew Cute at Blossom Heart Quilts, Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? at Confessions of a Fabric Addict and TGIFF.
This is my favorite layout for this block, I’m glad you’re daughter loves it.
Thanks Lisa :).
Oh that’s a clever layout! Gosh, it’s been a while since I’ve played with a disappearing nine patch…
Thanks Alyce :). I wanted to make it at least once and now I have :). Next to try is the 1600 quilt pattern :).
What a fantastic finish!, I agree I really like the blocks! Way to go! and Whoop, whoop!(I am visiting you from all your linky parties, lol.)
Thanks Shanna :).
There seems to be various designs from a disappearing nine patch. Yours is lovely. Pretty quilt too! Don’t you just love it when a recipient gravitates immediately to a quilt you make!
Thanks Joanie :). Yes it is satisfying when the recipient appreciates a hand made quilt or gift :). My other daughter is keen for me to finish her quilt (nearly done) :).
Your quilt is beautiful! I’ve never tried a disappearing nine patch, but I’m working on a disappearing four patch right now. The sew, cut, sew process is a lot of fun.
Thanks Leanne :). I haven’t tried a disappearing four patch :). Will visit your blog to see pics of it :).
