Winter is finally here! I have decided to knit myself a scarf/shawl named Fractal Danger by Martina Behm. I recently purchased an Australian Merino/Silk sport weight yarn in light grey. The yarn is really soft and yummy! The pattern is so easy that I’ve decided to knit the garter rows using Continental Method as I need more practise in that method. I’m a self-taught English Method knitter and have been learning the Continental Method using a class on Craftsy: Knit Faster With Continental Knitting with Lorilee Beltman. Lorilee is a wonderful teacher and I’m learning heaps! I’m hoping I can finish this before it gets too warm to use it and also get better with Continental knitting. I can knit but still struggling with purl and everything else. Will get there one day :)....

In 2011, I knitted a Carnaby Rabbit as part of a KAL (Knit A Long) but never got around to finishing her. The pattern was reasonably easy to follow and quick to knit up. The only thing I had trouble with is seaming which is why my rabbit was legless for over a year. Today I finally seamed her legs and sewed them on. Decided not to sew on felt for the bottom of her feet so she is finally finished and ready for play with my girls :). My Carnaby Rabbit was knitted using “Carnaby Rabbit” pattern by Amanda at Fluff and Fuzz. Sadly the pattern is no longer available for sale. Sweater was knitted using Turtlekeeper’s Designs Simple Shrug pattern. Yarn used was soft...

Melissa, a fellow Aussie friend, was doing a Dolly Swap and needed a Wilbur pig so I offered to knit her one. There were so many crochet & knitting patterns to choose from but I chose this pattern because it was all seamless. I found the pattern relatively easy to follow and so much fun to make. I did get stuck with the ears & tail instructions so I left the ears alone and crocheted a curly tail for him. Here are a few pics of Wilbur. Here’s a pic of Fern, Charlotte and Wilbur. Fern is a Waldorf Inspired Doll made by Melissa. Melissa is also the dollmaker for Jabreeta (Jabreeta Facebook page). Picture used with permission from Jabreeta. Wilbur was knitted using the pattern Olivia Oinkinstein Aviatrix without the wings. Yarn used is 100%...
